Performance canceled due to weather!

It wouldn’t be Flag Day without this impressive band that somehow manages to crowd 60 plus musicians into our gazebo. In 1992, their conductor, Dale Reuss founded the Southshore Concert Band for the purpose of providing a musical outlet for area adult musicians who wished to continue performing in a concert band environment. The Band performs in residence at Lake Michigan College and has become a significant musical organization in Southwest Michigan. An acknowledged premier regional band, they never fail to please. This is going to be another great start to our year of concerts in Dewey Cannon Park.

blue water ramblers

June 22, 2019

The Blue Water Ramblers sing extraordinary folk music - the folk songs of Michigan, America and YOUR life. Their repertoire comes right out of our Michigan life experiences and the history of the Great Lakes region. It includes lake shanties, lumberman ballads, union rallying cries, farmers' paeans, Michigan humor, '60s civil rights and protest music, love songs, gospel music and children's ditties. The combination delights and entertains audiences of all ages. "I think my hero, Woody Guthrie, would approve," opined Banjo-Jim. "We're singing the people's songs about the people's lives and they can join right in and sing along."
