Radio Harbor Country

WRHC 106.7fm

2000-Present

Harbor Arts is the parent company of Radio Harbor Country, a community radio station. Harbor Arts applied for the FCC licenses available to communities for Low Power FM permits to build in 2000. In 2005 the FCC granted us one “permit to build”. WRHC was formed under the umbrella and license of Harbor Arts, and raised capitol, procured equipment, built studios and began broadcasting in January of 2006.  Since then, WRHC and community members have created and produced over eighty-five hours per week of original programming.

In 2009, Radio Harbor Country became a separate non-profit organization with Harbor Arts as an Advisory Board, maintaining ownership of the FCC License.

In 2021 the radio station moved its physical address from Three Oaks to Sawyer, Michigan. Harbor Arts shares the same new address.
